About the brand

Our Legacy is an independent Swedish fashion brand founded in Stockholm in 2005 by friends Jockum Hallin and Cristopher Nying, later joined by Richardos Klarén. What began as printed t-shirts has evolved into a cult-followed label that GQ describes as 'the biggest little fashion brand in the world.' The brand is renowned for its progressive approach to menswear, applying custom-developed fabrics to signature shapes while maintaining minimal aesthetics with intricate finishing details. Our Legacy exists at the intersection of familiar and irregular, taking classic menswear foundations and transforming them through a fashion-forward lens. The brand launched womenswear in 2018 and operates the Workshop sub-label for experimental designs, collaborations, and sustainable upcycling initiatives. With flagship stores across Europe and Asia, plus hundreds of global stockists, Our Legacy has built a devoted international following through its commitment to quality craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and timeless yet contemporary design philosophy.

And I've recently been stocking up on other washes of Our Legacy's Third Cut jean—perhaps the most popular example of this aesthetic so far—because the not quite straight, not quite wide fit, almost diagonally-breaking cut scratches a denim itch I didn't know I had.

The Swedish brand Our Legacy has been cultishly treasured by fans around the world for years. Now, it's finding a level of success that even its founders didn't see coming.

Our Legacy's inaugural collection was unveiled in 2008, and since then the brand has continued to gain momentum with one hand clinging to the world of wardrobe basics, and the other venturing to seek inspiration from punk, art, film, literature, and more.

as far as pricing... you're not going to get the same level of textures or designs. and made in Italy. and things of that nature.

I'm a big fan of the brand and have owned a number of pieces over the years, but after some recent pickups I'm starting to think you need to be a 6’3” Scandinavian model to actually pull off most of the stuff they put out these days.

I got a pair of the Our Legacy mules (the Slip On with the Cuban heel) because I loved the design, but the quality and customer service has been laughable. They squeak constantly, with every single step... Customer service said that this a known problem with the Camion boots, Camion mules, etc.

Something I wish I had known before I bought is that these things scratch and scuff so easily. Specifically with the olive brown colourway, the boots are a plastic coated leather meaning that once you scuff or scratch the top plastic layer, there is no fixing them... Plastic coated leather at £520 is a bit of a rip off quite frankly.

I'm now trying the Our Legacy loafers in size 41 and 42 and I'm stuck between the two sizes. I have a high instep so both of them were super tight to get on (the 41 were borderline painful out of the box). The length feels better on the 41 but I'd be banking on the vamp stretching out. The 42 feels more comfortable off the bat but my heel slips a fair amount.

I tried those trompe l'oeil jeans that did the rounds last year but they just fit weird and tbh I was pretty disappointed with the quality.
