I have a pair of the cap toe sneakers from back in the day and they're excellent quality. Aesthetically it's all subjective, but they're miles ahead of brands like Burberry and Versace as far as value per dollar.

For the price point (I paid full retail), I'm mostly satisfied but not completely blown away. I think you're paying a premium for the brand name and unique design rather than some revolutionary comfort technology or performance features.
