I still wear mine from the 90s. Flannel interior. Warm, but loose, very comfortable. Great for hiking, bonfires, gardening. I'd love to find a new one I like as much.

Barbour has lots of other models nowadays, like the International range and many others, that are cut very differently and clearly intended to be fitted/styled more close to the body as compared the old “core” Barbour models.

My problem is I wanted the winter defence as I rode in the cold and walk a lot in the hills... I received my jacket for my birthday because the shoulder seams were very wide ( my shoulders across are 13) genetic illness wise I am 5'5 but very slender everywhere else.

I love mine and according to you, it's sized correctly. But the sleeves do my absolute head in. They're about a 5cm too long and I feel like I am wearing my dad's jacket. It's also a Hereford so the quilting doesn't help with the boxiness.
